Principal - Denise Gartner

Welcome to Clear View Elementary!  I am so excited to welcome the Clear View Cubs to our very first year!!  We will be bringing together students from four amazing schools in our district.  We also have teachers from ten schools within Onslow County, five other states, and several colleges or universities.  

 

I recently finished up my seventh year as the principal of Sand Ridge Elementary, in Hubert.  Prior to that, I was an assistant principal or a teacher at several elementary schools in Onslow County. This year will be my 24th year in education.

 

I grew up as a military child until my father eventually retired to New Jersey. I have called Onslow County home for the last 23 years. Prior to going into education, I worked as a social worker in Atlantic City, NJ. I am a graduate of Stockton University in Pomona, NJ and I hold a masters degree in School Administration/Curriculum and Instruction from East Carolina University.

I am married and my husband also works within the Onslow County School System. We are the proud parents of one daughter, who is a rising junior at Appalachian State University. ROLL NEERS!

 

In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, reading, and sewing. I am also a huge football fan!

 

I am very excited about the opening of Clear View Elementary and can't wait to meet all of the CUBS! As a former military child, I recognize that changing schools can be challenging and I will work to make this adjustment as easy as possible for all students and families. Creating a positive school atmosphere is one of my top priorities.
